June 08 Report

I was reading this morning about time and how valuable it is. We look to the future, but the past is gone, only memories are left for us to treasure and seal in our minds. As I thought about this months report. I'm again reminded of time and how soon it is for another report. It seems that June went by so quickly as well as the first half of 2008. We should value the time we have and take full advantage of the opportunities that come our way in our service to the Lord.

It is our prayer that things are going well and your work is being blessed. As for our work here in Crystal River, things are going well. This past month we have had an addition with a gentleman from Illinois and also a family here locally. She brings her grandchildren when they visit her and they are excited about Sunday Bible class. Her husband is not well, but she attends regularly. Her daughter also attends from time to time. We are very encouraged by this. Our weekly home studies continue and we are seeing consistent growth in those participating. As with all congregations we have a few families that aren't as faithful as they should be, but we continue to pray for them and try to be an encouragement to them, hoping they will realize their situation and turn back to God and be faithful and dedicated in their service to Him.

As for the Watson family, we are well. We cannot express to you our thankfulness for your support and your trust in us, not only by your financial support but also for your prayers and words of encouragement. It means so much. Here it is July and already Britt is preparing for her second year at Florida College. She says the car needs serviced, she needs new clothes, what about weekly money, gas for the car, new books, parking permits and the list continues.... my words are, thanks for higher education! But we are happy for her and the opportunity she has.

Distance separates us, but you are always close to us and we are thankful for your presence in our lives. May you continue to be blessed as you strive to serve the Lord.
