Dear Brethren

Greetings from the south Jacksonville, FL area and the brethren at Julington Creek.

As I mentioned in my last report, we had an excellent gospel meeting with Bobby Blackburn from Cleveland, Ohio. We distributed over 800 advertisements and had a few visitors attend from our community as a result of our efforts. We had a large number of requests for the audios of the sermons. The lessons were mostly for the members in teaching individual responsibilities, but this was very much needed.

Our attendance is still averaging about 80 on Sunday mornings, with about 60 on Sunday evenings and 50 on Wednesday evenings. I am currently having some individual studies with some of our members; some who are fairly new converts and some who are spiritually weak. My focus lately has been to strengthen the church through the lessons that I have preaching.

For the past several months we have had a program of mail-outs to new area residents. However, after no response from our follow ups, we are discontinuing this effort for now and plan to implement some other programs for evangelism. This will include a Dial A Bible Message program emphasizing our Bible correspondence courses. We also are planning to implement more door to door efforts involving as many of our members as possible. We have scheduled brother Harold Comer to be with us in a meeting in early spring on the subject of personal evangelism.

Our Group program is very encouraging as we have had excellent participation from our members. We have three groups that alternate each week in mailing out cards to our visitors as well as bulletins to local residents. We are adding more names on our mailing lists weekly. I am enclosing some copies of our recent bulletin issues. These are also available on our web site at www.jccofc.com. As of next month, I will be revising our web site so to include more of my sermons and other Bible study materials.
