May 2008 REPORT

More great news to report this month! We are finally getting back to the "on season" so the visitors are increasing each week. Also, we have added a new member who has just moved to our area from West Tennessee, Jamie Counsel. His brother lives here already. This puts the number of our "core group" at close to SO (including all the children). Of course, with visitors this Summer, we can generally count on more than twice that number at services.

We are still working toward having a special series of lessons sometime later this Summer or even perhaps in the Fall.

We hope to schedule it in such a way that people will want to take their vacation time to come to the Smokies. In view of this and visitors in general, we are working toward doing some renovating on the building. We hope to add a small cry room at the back, thereby allowing us to put another commode in the woman's bathroom stall that has been used for that purpose all along. Also, we hope to be able to expand the men's room to accommodate 4 at a time instead of the current one. We are trying to raise funds for these extra projects.

Our private home studies continue to go well. We haven't seen any direct fruit lately, but trust that there will be some soon. All we can do is keep spreading the word and allow God to give the increase. Here's our recent attendance & contribution numbers:

Well, I suppose that is all for this time. As always, thank you for your fellowship and continual interest in the work here. It would be so much harder without your help

Sincerely, In the Lord,
